Adeline is in the category of one of Texas' best vocalist.  In 1959, she began wowing audiences in San Antonio at military bases and clubs such as the Oasis, the Tiffany, and the Fiesta where her future husband, Bill Cuesta, commented to a friend, 'one of these days I'm gonna marry that gal."  Well, it took many years but their encounter proved to be the charm.

Adeline's two sisters, Mary Frances and Josephine were considered the McGuire sisters of the West Side of San Antonio with their interpretation of 'Sincerely.'  She has been singing since the age of 5.  While attending Burbank High School, she headed a group called the Velva Tones and sang at many events, particularly 'sock hops.'  There she attended school with Randy Garibay and also began singing with Doug Sahm's band.  Adeline also fronted the big-band sounds of Ramiro Cervera and Paul Elizond in the '70s.  She toured the US with Chet McIntyre to Mississippi, Wyoming and ultimately the Dunes in Las Vegas.  While singing is her passion , Adeline realized she needed a 'real job' and completed a stenography course.  This landed her a job with the Federal Government and ultimately retired as a Program Manager in Foreign Military Sales after travels to Europe and the Middle East.  After retirement she perfromed with a jazz group, Adeline in Good Company  belting out blues, bossa novas, jazz, old standards, and other tunes.  Adeline has been a regular at the Corpus Christi Jazz fest for years.  If you're ready to hear innovative vintage sounds from a lady who has earned her battle scars, be on the lookout for an upcoming CD to be announced on this website.
